Great Job, Team!!!!

The Pirate Boot Camp on Friday was OUTSTANDING! So many new activities, games, slides, and videos were enjoyed by our students! A huge thank you to those of you who worked so hard to create engaging sessions to review the matrix and 'HOOK' our students!!! How about that assembly that Terri planned???!!! WOW!!! So much fun! I really think she may be part pirate!!! Thank you to the Social Committee for providing lunch!! It was yummy!!! You may choose when to take your students outside (who earned the recess) for the extra treasure! Hopefully it will get a little warmer later this week!!! I am SO, SO PROUD of all of you!!!! What a mighty crew!!!!

Professional Development Plan Update

I am going to put a PDP form in your box that I would like for you to fill out before January 29th. It is imperative that you are working toward the goals that you set for yourself this year and are collecting the evidence to go with each of them. I will meet with you regarding this form and your data collection the first week of February.

District Videos

Required Annual Videos

This is a reminder that staff members are required to annually watch training videos. All training videos must be watched and completion forms submitted by February 1, 2016.

These training videos are required by state law and/or district policy, and you must annually provide confirmation that you have completed each of the training modules.

Staff members in certified positions are required to watch:

  • Confidentiality of Student Information
  • Discrimination, Harassment & Retaliation
  • Identifying Signs of Sexual Abuse in School Children
  • Standard Precautions for Avoiding Infections
  • Student Discipline

Staff members in non-certified positions are required to watch:

  • Confidentiality of Student Information
  • Discrimination, Harassment & Retaliation
  • Identifying Signs of Sexual Abuse in School Children
  • Standard Precautions for Avoiding Infections

You may watch the videos at your convenience by logging in to your SchoolWires account. (If you experience trouble logging in to SchoolWires please contact Jan Lange at 659-3121). Once you have signed in, you can view the videos by selecting the "District Departments" drop-down menu, then selecting "Human Resources", and then finally the "Staff Training Videos" on the left side of the page. Once you have finished watching all required videos, you will log in to TalentEd Records and submit the completion form that is in your "Needs Attention" task list.

As a reminder, TalentEd Records functions best in Google Chrome. Your user name is your firstname.lastname and your password is what you use to log in to your computer each day.

  • Weekly entries should be made into Infinite Campus in each subject area.
  • Data Cycle data should be recorded in Google Drive upon beginning/ending each math unit.
  • Update the Literacy file before our upcoming Literacy Team meetings.
  • Be collecting your evidence that goes with your PGP goals.
  • Be sure to keep your websites up-to-date!
  • Please turn in a copy of your newsletter each week.
  • Please continue to use the clip up charts, tickets and keep 4:1 in mind!
