Turkey Time
We gobbled our way through these past couple of weeks! At circle time, we sang about turkeys, read books about Thanksgiving, and practiced saying "thank you." During centers, we traced lines to get to fall objects, ripped paper to make leaves, talked about same/different turkeys, decorated pumpkin pies, marble painted leaves, water colored turkey feathers, counted fall objects, talked about patterns, ordered turkeys from smallest to biggest, and put turkeys in/under/next to trees. With our friends from Room 4, we played in our doctor's office dramatic play area. We also painted with our feet, and sang songs all together in their classroom (including "A Tooty Ta Ta").
During P.E., we played pass the beanbag (first slow, then picked up the pace with the music) and threw beanbags to each other. We also learned how to play bocce ball and practiced rolling a ball. We then went on an "egg hunt" by finding eggs, bending down to pick them up, and putting them in their matching colored bucket. Lastly, we pretended to be superheroes by running around wearing the large parachute as a cape! We had fun singing Happy Birthday to Ms. Dawn last week and Ms. Michelle this week!!
