Forecasting in Advisory
Our students have begun the forecasting for next year's classes in their Advisory class. They will be working on this throughout the month of March. Please make sure your student is attending their advisory to take part in forecasting. Our seniors will work on things College and Career lessons during advisory in the month of March. There will be visitors from PCC, MHCC, and other colleges and universities.
Senior Meeting
We will have a senior meeting on Thursday, March 4th during your student's advisory class. The meeting will be virtual using a Zoom webinar. CAL students are still connected to an advisory class's Google Classroom for this purpose. We will be discussing graduation on June 10th. There will be additional opportunities to order caps and gowns and other regalia at this meeting.
Attendance on Wednesdays
We have classes asynchronously every Wednesday. Your students need to login to their Google Classroom to participate in the learning on Wednesday. The staff usually has a quick Google form to complete to take attendance. So, your student is still learning with us on Wednesdays even though we are not holding Zoom sessions.
Report Cards and Transcripts
You should be receiving your student's report card and transcript this week. There is information as to how to interpret the transcript in the mailing. If you have questions about the report card or transcript, please contact your student's Advisory teacher or counselor.
Athletics
We are clearing for Season 2 sports, Boys and Girls Soccer, Girls Volleyball, Boys and Girls Cross County, and Football. The link to the forms that you will need is here. Athletic contests start Monday, March 1st. For season 2 the Mt Hood Conference is prohibiting spectators due to the restrictions from the pandemic. Here is a link to the specific information from the Mt Hood Conference. We will reconsider before each season. We will be streaming as many events as possible so fans can watch from home. We will get more information on how to watch the broadcasts as the schedule firms up.
