Veterans Day Assembly - MJHS will host a Veterans Day Assembly this year. Faculty, staff, and students are encouraged to invite family members who have served or are serving our country. The assembly will be Wednesday, November 10th at 1:45 p.m. Eighth-grade students should let Mrs. Walker know if a family member is attending. Ninth-grade students should let Mr. Hicks know if a family member is attending.
Parent-to-Parent Meeting - MJHS will host our second Parent-to-Parent meeting on Friday, November 5th at 8:30 a.m. Our topic will be High School, College & Career Planning. Please make plans to join us for this informational meeting.
Yearbooks - Yearbooks are on sale for $40.00. Go to www.yearbookordercenter.com and enter our school ID: 12906. You also send payment to Ms. Peery in the library.

MHS Climbing Team - Attention 9th graders only, the Maryville Climbing Team will be hosting tryouts for new members with the last name A-K on Monday, October 18th, and L-Z on Thursday, October 21st at 4:30 in the MHS climbing gym. Waivers must be signed by parents prior to climbing and can be found in Room 210. Contact Dr. Andy Hebert for further details.
Book Club - The MJHS Book Club is reading The Dead and the Dark by Courtney Gould. Start reading now, and join them to discuss the novel on October 27th.
Cornerstone Club - Our Cornerstone Club Can Food Drive collected 758 cans and $1733.50 in donations. The classroom winners are (8th)Mrs. Clark's 2nd period and (9th)Mrs. Willard's 1st and 2nd-period classes are tied. There will be a Cornerstone Club Meeting, Wednesday morning in the Art Room from 7:40-8:10 am.
Creative Writing Club - Creative Writing Club will meet Thursday, October 21st, from 3:30-4:30 in Room 308. Please see Dr. Bowen if you need more information. All are invited to attend!
Fellowship of Christian Athletes - Our FCA meets in the auditorium every Thursday morning at 7:45 a.m.
Ladies Bible Study - Please join us for a young ladies Bible Study hosted every Wednesday morning at 7:45. The group meets in room 314. Please see Mrs. Clark for more information.
Box Tops for Education - The yearbook staff is collecting Box Tops for Education. Download the app on your phone, find Maryville Junior High, and scan your receipt. Some products may have the Box Top to clip off so please send these to the front office or library. The first turn-in deadline will be October 20th.
Ready to start driving? – Students MUST request their 1010 Form in the MJHS Attendance Office before going to the DMV to receive their Learner’s Permit. If you have additional questions, please contact Mrs. Jenkins in the school office or email chris.jenkins@maryville-schools.org. 1010 forms are given based on the previous 9 weeks grades. If you are failing multiple classes, you are not eligible for a 1010 form until your grades are brought up to passing. The 1010 forms are good for 30 days during the school year.
Supervised Study Hall - MJHS offers a supervised study hall for our students.
- 7:30-8:30 a.m. Room 218 for Math & Room 220 for other subjects
- 3:30-4:30 p.m. Library for all subjects
8th-grade Career Fair Permission Slip - The following permission slip needs to be returned by October 22nd for your child to attend the 8th-grade Career Fair hosted by Blount Partnership.
