Welcome, Mrs. Hackett!
A Letter from Mrs. Hackett
Greetings! It’s my pleasure to guide your student’s last month in fifth grade while Mrs. Wilcoxen is on maternity leave. I am passionate about teaching and thrilled to teach in the TPCS environment where I can speak and pray biblical truth into the hearts of students whilst helping their minds grow.
I was raised in small-town Kansas, and my husband and I spent the first several years of our marriage in Wichita, KS where I taught high school mathematics before then staying home when our family began to grow with children. Eventually God guided us to support missionaries in Asia through using our passion for teaching at an international Christian school in Chiang Mai, Thailand. A few months after our return to the United States early last year, we felt led to settle in Indianapolis and thankfully discovered Traders Point Christian Academy. Our three boys (in grades 4, 6, and 8) started attending TPCA this school year, and I have enjoyed substituting in various classrooms and co-leading a 7th grade girls mentor group.
Through this transition time in my family’s life, God is teaching me to trust Him deeper and to lean on His faithfulness one day at a time. I pray this transition of teachers for each of your students is a time they too can learn to trust Him daily. I will do my best to help ensure this transition is smooth and fifth grade finishes well!
Serving Christ,
Mrs. Sarah Hackett
