Fenton Bands 2021

Welcome future Bison Band members!

Dear 8th Grade Parents, Guardians, Students, and Families!

What a bizarre year 2020-2021 has been!

Even though things look and feel different this fall at Fenton, we are proceeding virtually with much of what we would do in person. We have all of our classes running virtually. We have our extra curricular Jazz Bands meeting, and our Pep Band and Pit Orchestra planning are moving forward. We have had our ILMEA auditions and festival, our "Bandarama" showcase video, and are planning our Solo & Ensemble contest! Although we'd prefer to be in person, our hope is that all of this hard work will lead us back to a seamless transition to the band room, concert stage, and more!

Interested in the specifics of what we did this fall? Then check our our fall newsletter. In there, you will find what our Marching Band and our Bison Chamber Band were up to this fall. You can also click here for our December Instrumental Music Newsletter.

Parents, please check out the letters below that are tailored just for you.

Students, please check out our Band FAQ's and the two videos about joining band at the high school.

I look forward to visiting with you either in person or virtually sometime soon. As always, I am just an email or office hours appointment away.

In Closing...

Again, please feel free to reach out to me with any questions you may have. Your current band directors and I work closely together to ensure a seamless transition from middle school to high school. They are all very knowledgeable about what happens next for their student musicians, so don't be afraid to tap on them as resources.

Musically yours,

Garett George
