We are so excited to bring One School One Book back to Munson! This will be a great experience on every level - from reading the book together, to participating in all of the activities and fun our teachers and staff have spent months carefully planning. Tomorrow at 2:30pm is our big book reveal assembly, which is always a highlight of the year! If you'd like to watch the action unfold, you can click HERE to watch a live stream of the assembly. And please make sure to RSVP for Family Literacy Night on the 14th from 6-7:30pm. Thank you for your participation in OSOB. One School One Book is HERE!
On Monday, March 6, 2023 we will begin our all school book club called "One School One Book" and we need your help and participation to make this a fun, exciting, and successful experience for all. Your child will be attending the kick-off assembly on Friday, where we will reveal the book. You can watch our AWESOME OSOB unveiling assembly tomorrow at 2:30pm by clicking HERE. Your child will be coming home with their own copy of the book, a bookmark, a reading calendar, trivia questions, and a fun contest that we will be running throughout the 3 weeks of the event. Each night you will be asked to read short chapters from the book with your child. Podcasts of staff members reading the nightly readings will be available on Munson's website. Please take advantage of this special time to bond and share in the enjoyment of reading with your child by making the One School One Book event memorable not only here at school, but also within the walls of your own home. The more exciting you make it, the more excited they will be to enjoy the book together. Younger students will benefit from adults or older siblings modeling fluent reading as you read the book together.
Thank you for your support! We are excited at Munson to be reading the same book that the entire school is reading! This will be so much fun to share our thoughts and ideas about the book with different grade levels.
Please save the date for Family Literacy Night on Tuesday, March 14 from 6-7:30pm. We will have a great night of games, activities, crafts, book fair shopping, and more! You must RSVP to this event so that we can plan properly. Door prizes will be given to families who RSVP!
Sincerely,
Munson Elementary One School One Book Committee
Infinite Campus - Annual Update and Meal Payments
The free meals program ended over the summer, so please take a moment to fill out a Free and Reduced Meals application. This application must be completed on Infinite Campus, which is also where you can add money to your students' meal accounts. If your family qualifies, your student(s) will receive a free breakfast and lunch every school day, and academic fees will be waived.
