Getting a jump start on the Year

Thanks to all of you who took the time to schedule a day and time for the Fountas and Pinnell reading assessment. This is our first go-round with the process before school begins. We have employed this F+P assessment for a few years and the teachers are familiar and comfortable with it. They rely heavily on the results to place the children in the correct level of reading fiction and non-fiction material. Thanks again.

What's this I hear about golf and a barn bash?

On Sept. 19, beginning at 2:30 PM, at Ironwood Golf Course, there will be a special event to raise funds to complete the Primary School renovation project. We are combining a 9-hole 4 person scramble that leads to a fun night with Comedy Sportz. You are invited to build a 4some or just come for the bash at 6:00 PM. It will be a lot of fun! Prizes and gift bags are included in the golf event.

Tomorrow is the next step in a successful school career!

September 1, at 8:40 AM, the Primary School will open its doors to the new class of children. Our 4K'ers will be the graduating class of 2029 and it is with great pleasure that we welcome them and all of the schoolmates to the 2015-16 school year. On the playground tomorrow, you will find the number that corresponds to your child's teacher for this year. We will be out there to meet you if you decide to join us to send off your children. This is one very special day for the kids! And you too! Thanks!

Principal Chat

Would you like to get the upclose and personal perspective from Mr. Posick and me, please join us for the first principals' chat on Sept. 10th, 3:00 PM, in our school cafeteria. We can share some thoughts and ideas, as well as trying to answer any questions you have. Please join us!

Finding Mr. Budisch

You can get a hold of me many ways. In person-playground in the morning, in school with the help of Mrs. Smith and my calendar, e-mail and after school with traffic control. Please don't hesitate to call for answers, suggestions, concerns, or to celebrate a good thing. Here's wishing you the best year ever!
