FCBands Weekly Cadence
August 17, 2020
Here is everything you need to know about the Franklin Central Band program right now.
Marching Band Information
Marching Band Updates
Football Tickets
Tickets for the football game on Friday, August 21 go on sale this week, but the number of tickets is extremely limited. We are still discussing with the athletics department the number of tickets reserved for the band. We will know this in a few days and communicate a plan for making the tickets available to band parents. For this first home game of the season, we will put priority on parents of seniors. Watch for updates.
Senior Banners
On Tuesday, August 18 at 6pm – 8pm we will be hanging the senior banners inside the stadium fence along the northwest corner of the track. Senior parents are invited to hang their student’s banner on the fence and participate in this yearly tradition. Any banners not hung by 8pm, will be hung by our volunteers.
Swag Orders
The swag order for parents is in progress with PepWear and will be shipped to the school this week. We will announce a pickup date soon. If there is enough interest, we may have a second swag order in a few weeks. Show patches will be delivered in September.
Show Shirts and Button Photos
We will be passing out show shirts to students during the Thursday, August 20 practice. We will also be taking photos of the students wearing their new shirt to be used in the spirit buttons. Again, this will happen during the practice. Students will be dismissed by section to fetch the shirt and have the photo taken.
Every family will receive one free spirit button. We will give students the spirit button and an order form to purchase additional buttons for $2 each. This will happen in the coming weeks. Every mom needs a spirit button!
Family Night at the Stadium
Thursday, August 27 at 8:00pm will be our first "Family Night at the Stadium". This is a great opportunity for families that are not able to attend the football games to see the show performed. This will be the first of many Thursday night practices open to band families. Please remember to wear a mask and observe physical distancing while sitting in the stands.
Uniform for Football Games
The 2020 marching season requires the following attire for our band students at football games. Color Guard will have their own requirements.
- Show Shirt
- Khaki shorts
- Jeans (when cooler temps arrive)

If you would rather not eat pizza, parents may drop off food for their student at 5:30pm.
Here is the sign-up sheet for 8 volunteers to serve food to the students. Also, we need 10 desserts that feed 15.

Photographers Needed
We are needing photographers with DSLR cameras to help document and preserve the 2020 Marching Band season. We can accommodate up to two photographers per practice. We ask that you wear a mask, keep a proper distance, and not interfere with the band practice. Given the circumstances of the pandemic, each one of these practices is a gift for our kids and we want to preserve these moments. Please email Travis Sears at marchingbandliaison@fcbands.org for more information and to sign up.
