Message from the Principal and Assistant Principal
Dear Goodman Families,
Another new year begins as we welcome 2020! I hope everyone has had a chance to relax and enjoy some quality time with family and friends over the Holiday Season. The start of school, after a significant break, always provides an opportunity to re-establish a focus on learning. Please feel free to contact your son’s or daughter’s teachers if you have any questions about their progress. The teachers contact information is on our website. The custodians and maintenance staff have done an excellent job of making our school look great for our return. We have asked our staff to let students know how much we appreciate this work by asking students to:
* Place appropriate items in the recycle containers
*Place garbage in the appropriate containers
*Keep lockers clean
*Report any spills or damage to a staff member
*Clean the cafeteria tables when finished with their lunches

Snow Routes and Emergency Bus Routes
Buses may need to adjust where they pick up and drop off students to ensure travel happens only on roads designated as safe in the snow. These are called emergency routes.
Before winter weather starts, be sure to:
- Review our school’s Emergency Bus Routes & Safe Zones with your student posted on our school website. Paper copies are available in the office.
- Always be 15 minutes early for pickups.
- Remember not to block bus loading/unloading zones.
- Know that school delays due to inclement weather do not automatically mean emergency routes will be used.
- Opt in to receive emergency and inclement weather notifications by texting "YES" to 67587 from the device you wish to receive messages on.
- Check local TV and radio stations and this website for delays.

Cold & Flu Season
Keep your student home if he/she has:
Fever (temperature over 100° F)
Vomiting
Diarrhea
Red, draining eyes
Rash
Students may return to school after being symptom free without anti-fever medication for 24 hours or your health care provider indicates your student is no longer contagious.
From the Bookkeeper:
Welcome back Roadrunners! Now that we are back into the swing of school again, I invite you to take a brief moment to check your student(s) account and make sure their fees/fines are current. Fees/Fines follow your student through high school and will affect their ability to graduate so let’s make sure they are squared away. Need financial assistance? Please speak with your counselor or myself for waivers or scholarships.
To see what your student might have outstanding, please go to the webstore at: https://wa-peninsula.intouchreceipting.com Remember: you do not need to create an account.
