Winter Break is Coming!
Dear Broadmoor Families,
Wow! One week until Winter Break! It does not seem possible. I want to congratulate our fourth, fifth and Level II students on their amazing winter concerts this week. I was beaming with pride for our students and teachers who have worked so hard this semester!
We were able to collect so many wonderful items for our senior citizens this week! We often forget these important members of our community. I encourage you, your family or your social group to go visit our local senior living centers. The residents love to have visitors, especially children! If your group is able to go sing carols or play the piano for them, it is just so special. Make sure you call ahead for the best times to visit.
This week we will be collecting coins for the Agape Food Pantry. Students are encouraged to bring any change and the donation will be given to help provide meals for our community members needing assistance.
Tuesday night is our Winter Break Family Fun Night! Please make plans to stop by. It is a come and go event where we will provide information and activities for your student(s) to do over the break. We will have the Louisburg Library with their activities, crafts to take and make, reading and math activity packets and a very special guest to read winter stories to your students! Hope to see you then!
Friday our class parties begin at 10am. Parents will be able to go to the rooms at 9:50am. Students are dismissed at 11:05am for Winter Break.
Thank you for all of your support this semester! Have a wonderful and safe Winter Break!

It's Getting Cold Out There!
Please send weather appropriate clothing with your children each day. The playground can be very chilly, especially when the wind is blowing! Students continue to go outside for recess when the temperature and/or wind chill is above 25 degrees. Full recess (and other outdoor activities) are permitted when the temperature and/or wind chill is at (or above) 25 degrees and participating students are considered to be appropriately dressed. (jacket/coat, gloves, hat, close-toed shoes, pants instead of shorts, etc.) When temperatures and/or the wind chill are below 25 degrees, students will have indoor recess.
