Message from Ms. Weirich
I hope that you all have had a fabulous weekend. As this begins our third week of virtual learning, we will begin taking grades in Language Arts and Math. At this time, until we have further direction from the district, our teachers will assign grades as a pass (70% or above) or incomplete (below 70% or not turned in). Grades may be taken from virtual assignments or paper packets - please feel free to use the form that best fits the needs of your family. Many more clarifying details will come your way when decisions are finalized at the district level.
I hope that everyone if staying safe and well. Our staff cannot wait to see our students! It has been awesome to get to see many smiling faces on some class Zoom meetings. I hope to see several more this week!
Have a great week - please feel free to reach out to our staff if you have any questions or need assistance.
Respectfully,
Reese Weirich
Proud Principal

BrightBytes Survey
Dear Murchison Elementary Campus Community
We are partnering with BrightBytes, an educational research organization, to learn more about you and your students’ technology access and use for learning.
The goal of this project is to gather data on technology access, skills, and your school’s technology environment, in order to understand the connection between technology use and student achievement.
Our data collection window is set to run from now to May 27, 2020.
Each school is assigned three unique Technology and Learning Questionnaires. There is one designed for teachers and administrators; one designed for students, and one designed for parents.
Your questionnaire links are listed below:
Your participation and support is important to us and will make the difference between having a complete understanding of our school’s technology use versus a limited one.
Please let us know if you have any questions.

Stuck at home and looking to create some entertainment for themselves, British artist and inventor Tom Lawton came up with an ad-hoc machine for decorating eggs. He calls it the Egg Wizard and demonstrates how to make it in the video. He writes:
“I want to inspire kids that you don’t always have to go to the shops to buy toys and making your own can be both rewarding and fun, so I hope the video explains in enough detail how to go about making your own Egg Wizard.”
