Inspiration from March Madness
I am sharing an article that I came across that I wanted to share with each of you. Although our 4th quarter may not be on the hardwood of the NCAA tournament, we have the same needs within our arena...Virginia Schools. Although the "play" may not always go as planned, I know that we will all continue to strive to improve upon our practices as our students deserve only the best! May each of us finish the 4th quarter of this school year with the tenacity and focus that demonstrates these traits to our students. Glad to have an ELITE group of people that have been able to support the various adjustments in the "playbook" this year.

MARCH MADNESS - ELITE 8
A few of us "lost our marbles" this past week in our bracket play. This week's game for our ELITE 8 is SCRAMBLE! Those remaining will need to complete their competition (winner of 2 out of 3) by the end of the day Friday. There is only one version of this game available. Competitors will need to schedule a time with Jenny in the elementary office. Who will be our FINAL FOUR!??!

Illinois Assessment of Readiness - Week 2
This week we will continue our state assessments at Virginia CUSD 64. We successfully completed our ELA Units last week within the elementary and we will be focusing upon of Math Units this week with our 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders. Testing will be held Monday through Thursday. Thank you again for helping remind our students to be quiet in the halls as they pass the labs. It is greatly appreciated! Great job to Mrs. McQueen, Mrs. Gebhardt, Ms. Johnson, and Mr. Hymes for creating fun activities for our students to enjoy each day that they completed a unit of testing. It was great to see the students working hard to apply their best to the assessments followed with a few laughs and smiles with classmates.

Spring Concert
Congratulations to Mr. Mitchell and our JH and HS students on an excellent performance Friday evening. It was a great way to end the week enjoying the music from various movies. I am looking forward to the performance in May!
