Ending the 3rd Nine Weeks
Team Columbia:
This week marks the end of the 3rd Nine Weeks. Teachers, please ensure that your gradebooks are caught up. Encourage students to make up any missed assignments. March 11 is the first day of the 4th nine weeks. We are moving toward a big finish. For our Seniors, encourage them to do well on Work Keys, IB Exams, AP Exams, and CTE Certifications. These are the last opportunities students have to gain a CCRI. Work Keys score reports are in the Senior Seminar Teachers boxes.
Have a great week of teaching and learning!
TAKE ATTENDANCE DAILY IN EACH CLASS PERIOD IN INOW!!
Many of you are not taking attendance all day. It is the school-wide procedure and expectation to take attendance in each class every day within the first ten (10) minutes of class. Make it your practice to give a bellringer everyday so that you can complete this task. This is not optional but a requirement.
Please adhere to this directive.
-Mr. Porter
Calling in Sick or Taking Off
This will be my last time reiterating this directive. If you are taking off, you must call or text an administrator:
- Mr. Porter - 334-294-8596
- Mrs. Williams - 254-449-1999
- Mr. Hayden - 256-426-4381
- Mr. Jernigan - 256-651-7095
It is not enough to just put a sub in role call. You must also alert an administrator of your absence. We are having too many instances where teachers are out and either the sub does not show up or the position does not post in role call, thus resulting in unattended students. It is imperative that you call or text an administrator. Failure to alert administration of your leave will result in disciplinary action going forward. This has been the policy since our first faculty meeting this year. Please adhere to this policy.

Online Bahavior Rating Scales and SpEd. Forms
If you are asked by the the Special Education Department to fill out any paperwork for a particular student to include the Online Behavior Rating Scales, please return those in a timely manner.
The SpEd. Department is usually under specific time constraints by law to complete Special Education processes such as Eligibility. It is extremely important that you return the paperwork to them ASAP once you have completed your necessary input.

Any changes that you need to make, please make note of them and send them to me in email. This is the last chance for any Senior to make any changes.
