Final thought about our Kindness fundraiser
I want to share my thanks to everyone who participated in our Kindness fundraiser. I understand that everyone is busy and it can be difficult to find the time to reach out to family and friends and ask for support. Because of all of your support we have made both of our goals. This past Tuesday we had our final rally celebrating the top fundraisers in each class and winners of the class kindness projects. We ended the rally with the duct taping of the principal.
A special thanks to the members of our school board who came through to help us bridge the gap that helped us reach our $20,000 goal for our middle school playground project. Because we did make our grand goal, as promised, I will sleep on the roof of the school. This Monday night I will make my ascent and sleep on the roof. I will livestream on the KAES facebook page at 7:30pm and share the setup, read a story, and have a short worship before saying goodnight.
Thank you again for all your support for KAES.
Apr. 8, 2024 Eclipse
I hope everyone knows that we will experience a total eclipse Monday Apr. 8. KAES is planning to have school on Apr. 8. Over the next two weeks teachers will be studying the eclipse with your children helping them to be prepared and well informed for this special day. Each class will be doing different activities so please talk with your child's teacher and follow their newsletters for specific classroom details. KAES will provide proper eclipse viewing glasses for every child and the teacher will go over safety and proper use of them. Classes will also be making pinhole projectors. We invite families to join us for this special experience. For KAES the eclipse will start at 12:22 and end at 3:01 with totality from 1:39-1:43pm.
We understand that traffic will increase on this day and we encourage parents to be prepared for delays getting to and from school. KAES will also make sure we have the staff available to monitor an increased number of students for after school care.
2024-25 Registration now open for current students
It is time to register for next year. This week registration will open for all parents of currently enrolled students. Everyone has the opportunity to register and not worry about a class filling up. Please look for an email to re-enroll for next year. Open enrollment for everyone will begin on April 1, 2024.
Families who complete their registration by April 30 will receive a $100 discount on registration. Discount will only be given if all paperwork is completed and registration fee is paid by April 30.
Opportunities for experential learning
Parents and guardians,
In the months of April and May we have a lot of amazing learning opportunity experiences through overnight trips. Please take note that if your account is not current your child will not be allowed to participate. Please contact Mrs. Turk, our KAES treasurer, if you have any concerns about meeting this requirement.
