Lost and Found

We have an abundance of items that have accumulated in our Lost and Found area. We have now placed the items on tables in Center Court. If your student is missing any jackets, water bottles, zipper bags, etc. please tell them to look at the tables in Center Court for their missing items when they arrive on campus before reporting to their classroom. We will have the items out for display for the next couple of weeks.

Thank you!

Garden Club Projects

School Garden Project Updates:

• Potato Towers

The Potato Towers are showing signs of life! Leaves are starting to grow out the sides. It may take some time before we harvest, however, it should be worth the wait

• Cabbage Weigh Off

Our little gardeners have thinned out the cabbage bins so the larger plants may flourish. It wouldn’t be surprising if little cabbage patch kids start popping out! Harvest time will be soon. The class who guesses the closest weight of the largest cabbage will win a pizza party along with coleslaw made from the cabbages!

• Worm Farm Worms are on order…. coming soon!

Volunteers: A Big Shout Out to Hugh Samuels for upgrading the garden’s sprinkler system!!!! Thank you to all our volunteers who are watering the gardens! We appreciate our parent and non-parent volunteers who dedicate their time on Green Thumb Thursday’s! This is what makes Gemini’s Garden possible.

Meet Miss Vickie our Star Gemini Garden Volunteer!

Miss Vickie not only shows up every week, but she also brings healthy plant wisdom and joy to all who participate on Green Thumb Thursdays!

***Thank You Miss Vickie***

Morning Mile

There was a big milestone this week as 3rd grader Isla Vorwaller crossed the finish line on 100 miles! This is Isla’s first time reaching 100 miles - what an accomplishment! Isla is committed to running every morning and hopes to hit 200 miles before the end of the school year. Way to go Isla!

Come support Morning Mile by participating in the Pirate Plunder 2 miler on Saturday, April 1. Gemini is in second place currently with two races to go in the series. We need everyone! All participants 14 and under earn points for Team Gemini. Youth registration is $20 with a no shirt/no medal option for only $10. Every race you run will earn credit for 25 laps (straws) and a fun charm for your Morning Mile necklace.

Morning Mile is FREE and all students at Gemini are automatically signed up. We hope you will come and join us 7:15-7:45 on the field just south of Gemini.
