Week of December 8, 2014
A Note From Dr. Johnston
We have included many of those activities in this week's Falcon Focus. We hope you find the information below informative and beneficial. Have a great weekend.
See bottom of Falcon Focus for answer...Happy Friday!
After School Intervention
After School Intervention began this week as a campus-wide support to assist our students that do not to meet the expectation of completing assignments to the best of their ability or on-time. The first two nights were a success: lots of student questions answered, classroom work completed, and many students on their way to experiencing academic success.
Giving effort and meeting timelines are habits that can be developed. Please continue to encourage your student to strive to give their best effort and submit each assignment on or before the due date.
We appreciate your support as we challenge our students to set, raise, and achieve personal learning goals.

That First Bad Haircut - 2014-2015 yearbook spread
Deadline - Friday, December 12th
I share this with you because we have a student who is planning a spread in the yearbook that will showcase our students and their first bad haircut. Come on parents...it's another great way to embarass your kiddo and you know you live for those moments (at least my mom seemed to).
If you are willing to share this time in your child's life, Katherine needs:
- A picture of the bad haircut
- When did this haircut occur?
- Was there a reason: a dare, was it for a camp, did the guard fall off the blade at the salon (yes I've seen this happen), or was it just "hip," I use that word lightly, at the time
- Email this information to email@example.com
Thanks for your help!

Has your child received an acceptance letter from a college or university? Please have your child bring this letter to the counseling office, so that we may make a copy. The counselors will soon begin making their “college wall” of all students accepted to a college or university for next fall.
It's never too early...
