Kindergarten
I LOVED reading Apron On Apron Off over and over again with my mommy. I wanted to be the girl in the book! My mother actually still has this book because it was one of her favorites too!:)
1st Grade
My 1st grade teacher introduced me to The LIttle House. My favorite part of the book was when the Little House watched the seasons pass and the children grow up right in front of her!
2nd Grade
It snowed a LOT in Tulsa, Oklahoma where I grew up. I kept hoping it would snow as much as it did in the story Mike Mulligan and the Steam Shovel. We never got so much snow that we needed a snow plow, but that never stopped me from dreaming!!!
3rd Grade
Judy Blume wrote so many amazing books that I devoured all the ones I could get my hands on. In Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing, I laughed and laughed at Fudge and his crazy antics. He was a hilarious, younger brother who just wanted a little attention but caused all sorts of trouble to get it.
4th Grade
MISS Tucker was the best teacher EVER! She would read aloud to us even in the fourth grade. The best book she read was Wayside School is Falling Down. I remember her sitting on her tall stool sharing the book with us, and it was as if the students at Wayside School were our friends too!
5th Grade
I guess I've always loved a good mystery, and Nancy Drew could always solve them better than me! I can remember The Secret of the Old Clock, The Mystery at Lilac Inn and oodles and oodles more books in the series. To this day, I can get so into a mystery while trying to solve the problem with the main characters. I love mysteries with a surprise ending!!!
