Granville Academy K-5 & 6-8 Family Support/Outreach Groups
K-5 & 6-8 Granville Academy families:
There are two Facebook groups that are set up for GA Pirates and families in grades K-5 & 6-8 (as parents and students) to come together and get to know each other better. The idea behind the pages is to have somewhere to go for support (help with assignments that may be confusing) or to plan a fun outing with the group ("Hey, anyone want to go to the park and have lunch this Friday?").
Please note the pages are set up to protect the privacy of students & families. Only GA Pirates are allowed to join. Please search for the groups on Facebook!
We are looking forward to getting to know our GA Pirates!
GA Science Olympiad Calendar

Message from 6-8 Teachers:
We hope everyone enjoyed some time off! Don't forget, grades are being stored tomorrow for quarter 2. Today is the last day for students to do work that will affect their grade for this quarter. Also remember that our grades are cumulative, please think of report cards more as progress reports for your student.
There is after school tutoring at Tar River on Wednesday until 3pm.
There is Science Olympiad practice at Tar River until 2:30pm. If students from the northern end would like to come to Science Olympiad practice at Tar River, they are welcome. It begins at 1pm.
- Consent Forms for Science Olympiad need to be turned into me ASAP. Students CANNOT compete without a completed Consent Form being turned into me on or before Friday, January 31st. If you need another copy, let Mrs. Young know.
- Please send $10 with your child to help cover the cost of their Science Olympiad t-shirt. If this is a difficulty, please reach out to Mrs. Young.
There are Friday labs this week:
- 9am-12pm at Tar River Community Center building
- 1pm-4pm at Mary Potter Campus
As always, please reach out to us with any questions or concerns.
