Sacramento PRAYS
Uniting people to pray in the Greater Sacramento Region.
SacramentoPRAISE?
When SacramentoPRAYS was launched in the fall of 2012, it had no name – just some connectivity of praying people that came about because of the Luis Palau Sacramento Festival. As a core group discussed what to name a ministry whose goal was to knit together the diverse prayer strands in the greater Sacramento region, it became clear that what we wanted Sacramento to do was pray! Thus, SacramentoPRAYS!
Little did we know that this name could have a double meaning when heard. Could God have been working “upstream” as he so often does? Prays and Praise are homonyms – words that sound the same, but have different meanings. We really believe as we move further into 2016, part of the SacramentoPRAYS work will fold over into SacramentoPRAISE as well. Prayer and Worship, Worship and Prayer. Much of this will happen in the community context – churches uniting to worship together at Good Friday or a Special Event or Thanksgiving.
We will keep you informed about such initiatives in our event calendar, but things like this move forward from calling and leadership. Do you sense a calling to this kind of work? I would love to hear from you.

Prayer Leader's Fellowship Report
In our politics, media, ethnicities, genders, and churches, we see that the agenda of the enemy is to divide us. Yet, in this last week we have reports that there are Worship Leader’s fellowshipping together in Vacaville and Benicia, there are several congregations coming together as one on Good Friday in Chico and in Arden Arcade, and there are churches and leaders all across the Greater Sacramento Area who love one another and stand with one another in Christ.
As we see discord at large in our culture, we also see the unifying work of Christ echoing from John 17 across our communities: “that they (the Church) may be one.” One of these John 17 expressions of unity in the Greater Sacramento Area is Prayer Leader's Fellowship. On Saturday the 5th of March, over 40 prayer leaders gathered at the Rock of Roseville for food, fellowship, worship, a word from Pastor Mike Horn on the culture of honor, and strategic prayer. Many were blessed in this time and many new prayer leaders were connected relationally to the group!
Prayer Leaders Fellowship is a quarterly meeting and we look forward to the three remaining meetings this year! Click here and send us your contact if you are the identified prayer leader of your church and would like to join us for the next one in late Spring!

Decision America Tour
Franklin Graham is traveling to all 50 states in 2016 to hold prayer rallies, to preach the Gospel, and to challenge believers to take a stand and take action.
He’ll be urging Christians to vote, to live out their faith in every part of their lives, and to pray for our nation just as Nehemiah cried out to God to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem and restore hope to His people.

Azusa Now
We will consecrate an entire day — 15 hours — for the purpose of unity, miracles, healing, and the proclamation of the gospel. Our rally cry: Come, Holy Spirit! Instead of 120 in the Upper Room, we seek to gather as many as 120,000 in one place and one accord to simply exalt Jesus. And for inspiration, we turn to the most powerful expression of revival in modern times: the historic Azusa Street Revival of 1906.
