AdvancEd ~ Climate/Culture Stakeholder Survey
As community stakeholders, your feedback is critical as we continue to grow and develop as a progressive district focused on the academic, social-emotional, and behavioral needs of our students.
We will be seeking your feedback by administering a Climate/Culture Stakeholder Survey for a period of three weeks ~ October 22, 2018 - November 2, 2018.
**A link will be sent out to all LPS families on Monday, October 22, 2018**
We encourage you to take time to complete this brief survey. Your feedback is a component to the overall AdvancEd process, as well as provide us further insight from our stakeholders' perspective.
AdvancEd ~ A Continuous Improvement Journey:
AdvancEd is our school district's accreditation process, which is a voluntary method of quality assurance and designed for institutions to set specific educational standards, which is primarily driven by student performance and continuous improvement.
In addition, schools that are accredited are engaged and focused on the ongoing journey of continual growth centered around teaching and learning, student achievement, and continuous improvement. We operate as learning communities that demonstrate a proactive and healthy culture where educators take time to analyze best practices, student results, and engage in professional learning, discussion, and reflection.
This upcoming school year, Louisville Public Schools will have an "Engagement Review Team" visit - March 17-20, 2019.
The Engagement Review Team is a group of highly qualified professional evaluators who examine our schools's adherence to the AdvancEd Standards. This upcoming review will energize and equip our school leadership and stakeholders to maintain high performance and tackle areas that may need additional attention and growth. The Engagement Review Team is a rigorous process that includes diagnostic analysis, interviews with stakeholders, and observations of instruction, learning, and operations (Advanced Education, 2018, p. 1).
Please contact Mrs. Amber Johnson at 402-234-3585 or ajohnson@lpslions.org if you need further information/clarification regarding the AdvancEd process.

It's a Lion Celebration!
The district applied for a grant through the U.S. Department of Justice. As a result of our efforts, Louisville Public Schools has been awarded a $9, 000.00 grant by the Office of Justice Programs at the U.S. Department of Justice.
The purpose of the grant will be the installation of security cameras for the district's school busses. With the assistance of the Dept. of Justice, this awarded grant will improve our safety protocol by allowing the district to place monitoring systems in four of our primary busses.
