MESSAGE FROM DR. CHURCH
Miss Tiffany here, filling in for Dr. Church who was otherwise occupied, working from the roof, in celebration of the kids raising over $20,000 during the walk-a-thon. Dr. Church had a bucket to lower down so students could write notes and send them up. At one point I could hear the kids chanting "drop the bucket" all the way into the office. What a fun, albeit cold, time Dr. Church had up on the roof.
With next week being Thanksgiving, our staff have had some time to reflect and be thankful for each other. We have plates up on the wall in the break room so that staff can write thankful notes on them for each other. It has been wonderful to see how supportive and grateful we are for each other.
Have a great weekend. Next week we release at 11:45 am on Wednesday (no preschool on that day) and we hope all will enjoy a long weekend.
THANKS FOR SUPPORTING OUR FALL BOOK FAIR!
A huge THANK YOU to all our AMAZING Totem Falls families and staff who supported our school library by purchasing items at our first ever Student only Book Fair and our Online Book Fair too! We surpassed our BOOK FAIR GOAL OF 500 and sold 1224 books! That is over double of our Online Only Book Fair last spring! The profits will be used to buy new books for our library for ALL TO READ! Thank you much for supporting our library and keep reading!
E-WALLET LEFTOVER FUNDS…
If your child has any leftover funds on their Scholastic eWallet, you can use it online NOW or SAVE IT for our SPRING BOOK FAIR.
If you missed our FALL Online Book Fair, you can still SHOP ONLINE through our TF FALL ONLINE BOOK FAIR and our library will get back 2% in rewards for the rest of this school year.
THANK YOU to all our GENEROUS TF families that donated to our All for Books Scholastic eWallet and our TF students and staff who donated cash during our Student only fair too. Everyone together raised $485 dollars that helped TF students who couldn’t afford books at the fair. All for Books funds was also used to help ANY students at the Student only fair, if they were short $1 dollar or less to get their Book Fair book! Thank you to EVERYONE for helping get books in our students’ hands and excited about reading!
This week during library classes, all the students are writing their own wishes to celebrate our All School Read Aloud book, WISHTREE.
Our amazing student council members and Mrs. Bonner's class is helping to display our Totem Falls wishes on the tree in front of our school. Check out our amazing Totem Falls Wishtree in front of the school and the ATTACHED PICTURES TOO:)
