Science, Social Studies, and Health

Last month we completed a unit on weather. We researched some wild weather events on the iPads with partners. The kids looked for where the weather events occur in the United States and some safety tips for each one.

This month we are beginning a unit on matter. We are studying the properties of solids, liquids, gases, and how matter can be changed. We are completing this unit with an experiment using Oobleck from Dr. Seuss' Bartholomew and the Oobleck. The students' will decide if they think the Oobleck is a liquid or a solid and support their understanding with what they learned in this unit.
