Mothers Day Afternoon Tomorrow

Tomorrow is the ELC2 Mother's Day Afternoon. It will run from 1:45-2:35, allowing the students 15 minutes to clean up and debrief afterwards before the end of school at 2:50. We will be running a range of table top activities requiring your child to engage with you in making tasty treats, getting creative with craft, writing with you and having a chat with a fun M&M question game.

The reasoning behind having the ELC2 Mother's Day Afternoon on the Thursday was to allow parents with children in Pre-Primary or Kindy (hosting a Friday event) to attend both. However, I have to apologize and correct a mistake I had made in my previous email; the raffle will be drawn on the Friday and not during our ELC2 Mother's Day afternoon as it is across the whole of ELC, but winners will be notified. I am really looking forward to seeing you tomorrow and hope you enjoy getting the VIP treatment from your child. If you are sending a grandmother/aunty in your place or are unable to come, please write it in the parents book by the classroom door to make me aware of it so I can partner your child up or be their buddy for the afternoon.

Assembly Movie!

I have created an iMovie of the ELC2's Bucket Filling Assembly item on my Ipad however it is 777MB in size and therefore wont attach to email or embed in the smore newsletter. I have downloaded it to the classroom computer and would be happy to upload it to your storage device. If you could please send a labelled USB with your child to school I will load it on and send them home so you may each have your own movie.

School Photo Day

The school photo days with Kapture photography are set for Wednesday 27 and Thursday 28 May. ELC2 has been scheduled for Thursday 28 May from 11:20-11:40. This time is not set in stone as it is flexible around the photographer who can run behind or in front of the schedule. Please ensure all children are neatly dressed with full school uniform including a white shirt.

Approximately two weeks prior to the photo day every student will receive a Kapture Photography order envelope to bring home. The recommended method of ordering your photos is online through Kapture’s website as your payment is secure and can be easily verified at any time. Alternatively you can pay by cash or cheque and return the provided envelope to the school on the photography day. If you place your order online please do not return your envelope to school.

Any parent who forgets or is unable to supply their envelope on the photo day will have 5 days to complete an order online. Late payment envelopes cannot be accepted by the school office or by Kapture.

Kapture offer a money back guarantee for any parent who is not fully satisfied with their photo package. Should you have any queries before or after photo day, please direct them to the Kapture office on 9240 1714 or email enquiries@kapture.com.au.

All students will be photographed individually on photo day for school administration records as well as included in their class group photo available for purchase to all families. Should there be any reason why your child should NOT be included in the photo shoot –please contact the school office.

Please note when visiting ELC2:

To all of our much valued and appreciated parent helpers, please note the sign-in book on the front bookshelf, under the whiteboards. This needs to be filled in as a record of who is in the classroom and school. We also ask that you wear a visitors badge so you are easily identifiable when on school grounds. Thank you for your cooperation in supporting the students learning and keeping our school safe.
