Bear Branch Junior High Library Newsletter

March 2021

It's a couple of days until the end of March and I am just now completing the March newsletter- so I guess that tells you how this month is going for me! Busy, busy, busy! Hopefully I will finish the April newsletter a little quicker than this one. With spring weather and spring break I have spent more time outside but still trying to get a few new books read. Where do you spend your time reading? My Class of 2021 Senior is counting down the days until graduation and I'm trying to slow down the time. I haven't yet figured out how to do that but enjoying all the "last" moments of his high school days. My Class of 2023 Sophomore is counting down the days until she can take over his room when he leaves for college. :(

Tech Tip

Make it a habit to clean up your chromebook or laptop by running updates and clearing cached images and files on a regular basis. This will keep your devices in top shape and performing at their best. The link below will show you how.

Fascinating Facts about Libraries

The smallest book in the Welsh National Library is ‘Old King Cole’. It measures 1mm x 1mm and the pages can only be turned with a needle.

(The first 10 students that come in and let me know that you read this fascinating fact gets a sweet treat!)

March Reminders :)

  • Run updates on your chromebook.
  • Make sure to move your body and drink lots of water
  • Turn off or put down your phone and go for a 20 minute walk.

I finished a couple of mystery/thriller books over spring break and I am starting on The Darkest Evening by Ann Cleeves. I haven't started a new audible yet but I have one waiting. I am loving the mystery fiction books!
