Looks can be Deceiving

She worked for him one summer,

they'd become good friends and never forgot.

She moved away but they'd keep contact,

they talked about her life.

This same blind man came to visit,

the man's lost his wife.

She went to pick him up,

she was wearing a smile.

I stared at his face,

My wife left the room,

I was to be left alone.

What I didn't know is that I changed.

To me it was really something.
