NJ GOVERNOR'S EDUCATOR OF THE YEAR (GEOY) NOMINATION FORM
Do you know a classroom teacher or educational services professional who is dedicated, inspiring, and making a difference? If so, please take the time to recommend this person for the Governor’s Educator of the Year Program by completing the nomination form template linked below and returning it to the building principal by December 6, 2019. Administrators, staff members, students, parents and community members are encouraged to participate.
Each candidate will be scored based on the criteria below:
• Serves as an exceptionally skilled and dedicated educator in a public or charter school;
• Inspires students of all backgrounds and abilities to learn;
• Demonstrates leadership and innovation in and outside the classroom;
• Has the respect and admiration of students, parents, administrators and colleagues; and
• Plays an active role in the community as well as the school.

SAC will close at 11:00 A.M. All students are to be picked up, bused home or dismissed as walkers. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding, and enjoy your Winter Break!
LOST AND FOUND:
Please remember that as stated previously, all items left in our lost and found by December 20, 2019 will be donated to a local charity.

ABSENTEE, DISMISSAL, DROP OFF/PICKUP PROCEDURES:
To ensure the safety of all students, send an e-mail or note to your child's teacher whenever he/she will have an early dismissal or a change in his/her regular dismissal plan.
When arriving late, parents/guardians must sign their child in to school in our main lobby. To pick up a student, parents/guardians must report to the main lobby to sign out their child. Under no circumstances are students to be taken off of a bus or out of line by a parent/guardian. Also, students cannot be called out of class for any dismissal changes once the afternoon announcements begin at 3:00 P.M.

Thank you to everyone that donated food for the Thanksgiving Food Drive. Rush School collected 1,152 food items that will be donated to the Jane Weilenbeck Family Fund.
The classes that collected the most:
In 4th place: Miss Catlett’s class
In 3rd place: Mrs. Zarzycki and Mrs. Watson’s class
In 2nd place: Mrs. Sciancalepore and Mrs. York’s class
And in 1st place the class that collected 136 food items is Miss Gall’s class!!!
