We are pleased to share that SHIELD testing will begin for students at Winston Campus on Monday from 12:30 - 2:30. Please note there may be a delayed start for students who were opted in after the Infinite Campus survey closed.

For tomorrow, students will be coming down based on their last names every 15 minutes to the stage area between the gymnasium and the cafeteria based on their last name. Once they are done testing they will return back to class. Please know that this system will be tweaked weekly to ensure we are doing it the best we can.

Last Names:

12:30 - 12:45 - A

12:45 - 1:00 - B & C

1:00 - 1:15 D - F

1:15 - 1:30 G - J

1:30 - 1:45 K - N

1:45 - 2:00 O - Q

2:00 - 2:20 R - Z

Using this surveillance test, the District 15 health team will receive results and only notify families of positive results. Subsequent measures of isolation will be discussed with families at that time. Test results are expected within 24-36 hours.

At this time, the Point ‘n Click portal, which houses the test results, has not been established for parents. We are again working with SHIELD/Passport Health to make this available for you to view results as soon as we can.

Thank you for your patience as we worked diligently to provide the best testing experience possible for your child(ren) and the school community. Please let us know if you have further questions. You can email the Nurse Coordinator at flork@ccsd5.net with SHIELD TESTING QUESTIONS in the subject.

Parent/Student Handbook

The 2021-22 Parent/Student Handbook is now available online! You can view it here.

  • The annual handbook is a summary of Board of Education policies governing District 15. The complete School District 15 Board of Education Policy Manual is available for public review at the District office and on the District 15 BoardDocs website. State and federal laws require school districts to notify parents and students about certain rights, responsibilities, and procedures; you will find that information in this handbook. This handbook may be amended during the year.

The handbook offers information pertinent to the District as a whole. Some programs and procedures may differ from school to school, based on the size and location of the building, the grades served, the facilities available, and the programs conducted at the school. Your school administrators will inform you of these additional procedures. The handbook is intended to be a handy resource, but is not meant to take the place of personal communication between home and school. Please feel free to call your child’s school if you have any questions on programs or procedures, or consult your school’s website.

Warriors Wear Masks

Per Governor Pritzker's Executive Order, all students, staff and visitors at any K-12 schools in the State of Illinois are required to wear masks.

Self-Certification

Parents and guardians, please make sure that you are screening your student(s) daily for COVID-like symptoms before sending them to school and asking the self-certification questions in the back of the lanyards. If your student or anyone in the household is experiencing any symptoms please keep them at home and have them get tested.

Chromebook Reminders

Students should be charging their Chromebooks nightly. We encourage familes to create a system that everynight at a certain hour, the student puts their Chromebook to charge as they pack their backpack for the following day.

Reporting an Absence

If your student will be absent for any reason, please give us a call on the attendance line.
