Counselor's Corner
Hello LVES Families! I have enjoyed learning about the different responsibilities our students have this month as we have been talking about the character trait of Responsibility. It is important for children to understand that showing responsibility at home, school, and with friends also shows that they are trustworthy and dependable. What kinds of opportunities have you given your child to help them learn about and show responsibility?
Have you heard about the Old Farm Community Center Food Pantry? This local resource is stocked with lots of wonderful free food for anyone in the community. Some items include fresh fruits, vegetables, frozen meats, beverages, baked goods, and even dog food.
They are located at 3500 Lohman Ford Road in Lago Vista, and are open on Saturdays at 9:00am-1:00pm, or until they run out of food. For more information, their website is: http://www.oldfarmcommunitycenter.com/garden
Help spread the word to families who may need to know!
