Your metabolic rate slows down as you age. This causes muscle mass to decrease, and fat to increase when proper diet changes are not made. Activities such as aerobic exercises can help to enhance metabolism as well as consuming; vitamin B&C, green tea and ginseng. Another preventative measure is to eat smaller portions more often throughout the day. These portions should be mainly comprised of whole foods for optimal results.
