CBSD Farmers Market @ Barclay ES
The CBSD Farmers Market is open! A week after the start of the COVID-19 crisis, we began distributing food every week on Wednesdays at 4:00 at Barclay Elementary School. We believe that in a community as well resourced as ours, no child should ever be hungry. If you find yourself in need, please stop by.
If you find yourself in a position of giving, consider supporting this initiative. Please help us share food with families and children throughout the Central Bucks School District during this crisis! Click HERE to support our Go Fund Me. Thank you for your generosity!
There are more ways than one to support! Check out the list of item donations needed in the flyer below!

Family Survey Deadline May 15th
Dear Central Bucks Families,
As a school community, we have been engaged in distance learning for seven weeks now (four weeks in new learning) with our students, teachers, and parents cooperating in order to help students stay active in their learning while moving our curriculum gently forward.
With about five weeks left in the 2019-2020 school year, we would like to gather critical feedback from our families about this unprecedented experience. This information will help us make minor adjustments, if necessary, and ultimately, better serve our families.
You will find the survey at www.cbsd.org/dlpsurvey.
· Please complete it once for EACH CHILD in your family.
· You can expect each survey to take about five minutes of your time.
· We will close the survey on Friday, May 15.
Thank you for your valued time and consideration. Your support is deeply appreciated as we continue to adjust and do all that we can to help our students and families manage this crisis. Please take care.
Stay Well,
John Kopicki
Screenagers NEXT CHAPTER ~ Watch On- Demand May 15th - 29th
CB Cares and CBSD Present an Online Parent Positive Event - Watch On-Demand May 15-May 29
Access the event ON-DEMAND here.
With COVID-19 giving many of us downtime at home with our families, we invite the Central Bucks community to take this opportunity to watch SCREENAGERS NEXT CHAPTER:
Uncovering Skills for Stress Resilience. This special edition includes a brief introduction by the filmmaker Dr. Delaney Ruston, plus a pre-recorded Q&A with her after the film, where she responds to some of the most frequently asked questions about the topics covered in the film. Filmmaker and physician Dr. Delaney Ruston takes the conversation around screens and teens to the next level with Screenagers NEXT CHAPTER: Uncovering Skills for Stress Resilience—a film that examines the science behind teen’s emotional challenges, the interplay of social media, and most importantly, what can be done in our schools and homes to help them build crucial skills to navigate stress, anxiety, and depression in our digital age.
In Screenagers NEXT CHAPTER, we follow Delaney as she finds herself at a loss on how to help her own teens as they struggle with their emotional wellbeing. She sets out to understand these challenges in our current screen-filled society, and how we, as parents and educators, can empower teens to overcome mental health challenges and build emotional agility, communication savvy, and stress resilience.
We witness Delaney as she finds her way from ineffective parenting to much-improved strategies. We follow other personal stories of families from an array of backgrounds with a spectrum of emotional challenges. We also observe approaches in schools that provide strategies relevant beyond the classroom setting. Interwoven into the stories are surprising insights from brain researchers, psychologists, and thought leaders that reveal evidence-based ways to support mental wellness among our youth. The impact of social media and other screen time is incorporated in all the topics raised in Screenagers NEXT CHAPTER, how it may be impacting our teens’ mental health, and what we can do to help foster youth in the face of struggles.
