Thankful for YOU
I want to take a moment to say a heartfelt thank you to all the parents, guardians, extended family members and students for making this a great school year thus far. I am truly blessed and appreciative to work with the amazing teachers, students and families of Lincoln Trail. Another special "thank you" for recent events at Lincoln Trail include our Veterans Day raffle. We had a wonderful Veterans Day ceremony earlier this month that raise almost $2000 for our local American Legion. We have also had an overwhelming response of those helping with donations to our Mahomet CARES Closet and our 5G Packs of Joy Holiday Project. Thank you for all you do for your child(ren) and to support our community. Please let me know if you would like additional information on either of these projects.
Engineers in the Classroom
We are currently seeking engineers to help with our Engineering in the Classroom for our 5th grade classrooms. No degree or background in engineering required to help. Volunteer hours are during the school day. Please contact Mrs. Hunter for additional information or to indicate your interest. mhunter@ms.k12.il.us
Other Information
- Parent Drop Off: For the safety of our students, please only drop students off between the 2 posts, not all along the sidewalk. Students will only be able to enter door by the 5th grade hallway. (This is the door closest to State Street.) Please do not drop students off in the parking lot. Unless students are part of our Kids Club program, they should not be dropped off before 8:00 a.m. This is imperative for the safety of all our students.
- Changes in Routine: If you need to make a change in your child's after school routine, please contact the school before 2:00 p.m. if possible. This will allow us time to inform students of any changes.
- Lost and Found: Did your child lose a coat? How about a lunch box? Make sure they check lost and found first! The lost and found will be emptied on the last day of the trimester, items left will be donated to our Mahomet CARES Closet.
Lunchroom Substitute Supervisors STILL Needed!
If you like interacting with the kids, and can be flexible. If you enjoy different settings, and different age groups of kids. This is what you have been looking for! We need supervisors for the cafeteria and playground during lunch hours for students. f you are interested, you can either apply through the District's website or email Mrs. Hunter at mhunter@ms.k12.il.us.
