Reading Support is HERE!
Strengthen and/or Advance Your Child's Reading Skills
Lexia Core 5
Due to the pandemic, school closures, and a reduced school day, many students are struggling to read at grade level. TUSD has provided ALL students with a research-based, adaptive reading intervention program entitled Lexia Core 5, that if used 10-20 min. per day, your child will gain the skills needed to read at grade level. Regular use by students already at grade level will also strengthen and accelerate reading levels.
We suggest this intervention is done during your child's asynchronous school time, due to the limited time students are in the classroom. We need your help to ensure your child does in fact access the program from home and completes their daily suggested time in the program. Your child's teacher will monitor progress and provide ongoing support at school. Please see below for information on accessing the program and the research behind it.
Ensure your child completes 10-20 min. of Lexia daily
Remember, all we need is for you to make sure your child logs on and completes their assigned 10-20 min. of daily Lexia. We will do all rest!

Math Support is Coming!
Teachers were recently trained in an adaptive math intervention called Freckle, and may have your child working in the program already. TUSD just upgraded from the free to the paid version which enhances our ability to diagnose and prescriptively treat math deficits. If your child is not currently using this program, they will be after we return from winter break.
