Resources Used to stay alive in the Great Basin/ Plateaus
People in the Great basin/plateaus had many different kinds of foods to satisfy their hunger including fish, small game, corn, fruit, nuts, berries, prairie dogs, rats, snakes, grasshoppers, grub, and roots. Clothing was very light weight clothes or no clothes at all because the weather was very hot, hats were also used to protect their heads from the heat. Shelters were temporarily built using willow pole snapped into a cone and covered with brush or reeds. People made art from animal hides by decorating them with seeds and shells. Some of the tools the people from the great basin/plateaus were looms, baskets used to carry items, and canoes to travel through the water with.
Food: Rabit
People who lived in the Great Basin had many different kinds of food they could choose to eat from including small game like rabbits.
Clothes: Lionclothes
In the Great Basin clothes were very thin if even worn at all because of the great heat.
Shelters: Wickiups
Temporary shelters were built to provide protection for short periods of time. Were built out of available brush and reeds.
Art/Customs: Loom
Looms were used to make patterned cloth such as rugs and blankets.
Tools: Basket
Baskets are a big tool used in the Great Basin because they can help with carrying many things. Baskets were made out of plentiful resources.
