Mrs. Close's Class ~ Please check out the bridge paperwork that is in Friday Folders. Once again, the project was a huge success. All bridges held weight and kids learned what they should do differently to construct a stronger bridge. We have begun Module 7. Three exit tickets have been corrected and returned. I highly suggest kids correct their work and resubmit to improve their grades.

Mr. Hart's Class ~ We are just about finished with our module on fractions. We have spent the past two weeks adding and subtracting mixed numbers. This week we began working on multiplying fractions and whole numbers. Next week we will finish up the module by multiplying mixed numbers by whole numbers. On Wednesday we will work on reviewing the module on fractions, look for a review packet to come home on Wednesday. Thursday we will test on module five.

Mr. Lawton's Class ~ This week we finally finished fractions. The students did an amazing job working hard in a very difficult module, but I am sure they are happy to be moving on. We are going to be starting the next module on Tuesday. We are also working on designing our own Galactic Theme Park on the moon for an extension project.

Picture Book Friday - Today, Lauren M. read us a great story starring a Pug! Abbey is planning to entertain us next Friday!

PAWS - The ice cream assignment will be returned next Friday. The final task is due next Friday. A handful of kids have already been through the editing process with me.

Reading Groups - We've had to take a little break for benchmarking.......we'll be back to our regular rotation on Tuesday. The kids and I both miss it!

Social Studies - The kids have been learning about the 3 branches of our government. Next week, they'll work through an inquiry related to New York State's official snack.
