Ichthyology at UF

What's an Elasmobranch?

What the Ichthyology department at UF does:

Teach educators who teach their students about sharks, skates, and rays so that knowledge spreads faster among Floridians. This helps with conservation efforts and research efforts.

What makes it innovative:

The fact that the Ichthyology Department at UF goes out and interacts with the public more than any other shark based research group is an innovative utilization of resources. They don't only just rely on technology, but on the public for research and tracking.
