We will not know yet our official ranking until later, but we know that we are in the top 32 teams. We are the first Middle School in the State of Alabama to win a trophy at the NAQT National Finals ever.
Also, all of our A team students won an trophy award and the school has received a nice team trophy for being in the top 32 teams in the Nation. We could not be more proud of our students and how they represented Monrovia Middle School and our community at this competition in Chicago, Il.

The Merge
Helping 5th Graders make the transition to middle school
Fifth graders from Madison Cross Roads Elementary School and Harvest Elementary School came together at Sparkman MS for a day of activities. Students from the two elementary schools will be feeding into Sparkman Middle School in the upcoming school year.
The event is an effort to get students from different elementary schools to merge into one before the next school year.
"Transition is always an issue, and middle school's kind of a scary place," said Russ O'Rear, Sparkman Middle School principal. "We wanted to do something to allow kids to come in and just have a fun day, kind of ease some fears and get to know some people."
