Studying in a Nutshell
Many students have a hard time studying for a hard test, quiz, or another type of assignment. Some of us try notes cards or repetitive learning, but here are some helpful tips from psychology expert Kendra Cherry
Write it Down!
We sometimes forget important dates of when assignments are due or when an important test will happen. So writing them down in a planner or calendar will help you remember when to study.
Pay Attention!
We may think as teenagers that we are capable of studying with our friends or while watching television, but actually we are never able to recall the information we tried to study that night. So in order to retain the information well enough to remember, we need a quite and calm place to do so.
Organization is key!
While studying it is important that you plan on when and how you study. Coming up with different tips and strategies to improve your study skills and will be better in the long run.
Take it Seriously.
Other ways of Improvement.
As a teenager, we often rely on our technology to "help" us study. Our technology doesn't actually help us, it may even not allow us to get the full experience out of the study session. So to prevent this from happening, we should try to put all of our electronics away and just stick to the books.
