Campus Reminders:
- Thank you for joining us for parent conferences: We hope you had meaningful and informative parent conferences. If you have not had an opportunity to meet with your child's teacher yet, please contact them as soon as possible to set a conference date.
- Big Kahuna Fundraiser: We are still waiting on the report for our total sales with the Big Kahuna Fundraiser, but preliminary reports show that we are on track to meeting our original goal! Thank you so much for your support of our school and this campus fundraising effort!
- Book Character Parade: Our Red Ribbon Week festivities end on Friday, October 27 with Book Character Day and a Book Character Parade. As you begin to plan your child's costume for the day, please keep the following in mind: no masks; no weapons (even toy); students must carry the book during the parade or a picture of the book cover; costumes do not need to be elaborate - remember they are wearing them all day. If you have specific questions about your child's costume, please contact your child's homeroom teacher.
- Halloween and Costumes: Parents, please be informed that we do not have Halloween parties and students are not permitted to dress up or wear Halloween costumes on Tuesday, October 31. Thank you in advance for your understanding and support.
- The safety and security of students, staff, and visitors is a priority. All visitors must sign-in with the front office using the Raptor system to receive a visitor badge. Any visitor without a badge will be redirected to the front office. Please note that we have a new and improved Raptor system for signing our visitors and volunteers in at Seven Hills. All guests and volunteers will be required to scan their ID on their first visit to school this year. Thank you in advance for your patience.
- Student Absences: Please contact the school office if your child will be absent from school. This helps us verify our overall attendance for the day and properly account for all students. When your child returns to school after an absence, please be sure to send a note explaining the reason for the absences.
NISD Information:
Safety Procedures in Northwest ISD
The safety of our students and staff is of utmost importance in Northwest ISD. As a campus, we will practice various safety drills so that we are prepared for any possible scenario that could take place at your child’s campus. One of the emergency procedures that is used from time-to-time is the Shelter-in-Place. During this procedure, students are safe at all times, remain in the classroom and learning continues to take place as normal. The campus cannot legally explain why a Shelter-in-Place procedure is used. This is not to alarm you, but it is for legal confidentiality reasons, respect and the protection of our students or staff members. We do want to stress the fact that Shelter-in-Place is very different from a Lock-Down procedure. During a lock-down, all instruction is stopped.
If students are ever in any kind of danger, we will notify families immediately via email, phone call and website. If you ever have any questions about our safety drills and emergency procedures, please do not hesitate to contact our campus. Your children’s safety remains our top priority.
