MASK POLICY
Based on the November 18, 2020 Order of the Secretary of the Department of Health, students may not wear face shields to school. Students must wear face coverings that comply with the Department of Health's Order.
“Face covering” means covering of the nose and mouth with material that is secured to the head with ties, straps, or loops over the ears or is wrapped around the lower face. A “face covering” can be made of a variety of synthetic or natural fabrics, including cotton, silk, or linen. A “face covering” may be factory-made, sewn by hand, or be improvised from household items, including, but not limited to, scarfs, bandanas, t-shirts, sweatshirts, or towels.
Proper fitting Masks must be worn, covering the nose and mouth, in the buildings at all times unless eating or drinking.
Masks breaks MUST be outside only, and all individuals must be 6 ft. apart.
Masks can only be taken off in the building while eating, and then must put back on immediately after eating is completed.
This will be strictly enforced to keep everyone safe
- If a student is not wearing mask properly, they will be given warnings with the opportunity to correct.
- If a student is defiant, the student will be given 3 warnings, if the student does not comply, the student will immediately be removed from class and a discipline referral will be completed. If the student refuses to wear the mask, the student will be sent home.
- If a student receives 3 discipline referrals for defiance in wearing a mask properly, the student will only be permitted to attend classes virtually for one week.
- Upon the 4th referral for defiance in wearing the mask properly, the student will only be permitted to attend class virtually for two weeks.
- If the student receives a 5th referral for defiance in wearing a mask properly, the student will only be permitted to attend class virtually for three weeks.
- Upon the 5th referral for defiance in wearing the mask properly, the student will only be permitted to attend class virtually for the remainder of the marking period or longer.
- Upon the 6th referral for defiance in wearing the mask properly, the student will only be permitted to attend virtually for the remainder of the school year.
SAFETY EXPECTATIONS FOR STUDENTS FACE TO FACE
- STUDENTS MUST BE MASKED AT ALL TIMES IN THE BUILDING WITH THE EXCEPTION OF WHEN THEY ARE EATING. AS SOON AS FOOD IS CONSUMED, THE MASK MUST GO BACK ON
- STUDENTS MUST WEAR A MASK AND STAY IN ASSIGNED SEATS WHEN RIDING ON THE SCHOOL BUS
- MASKS MUST COVER BOTH THE MOUTH AND NOSE
- WHEN TRAVELING IN THE HALLS STUDENTS SHOULD KEEP A 6FT DISTANCE FROM OTHERS AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE (THERE ARE CIRCLES ON THE FLOOR IN THE HALLS FOR STUDENTS )
- STUDENTS WILL HAVE ASSIGNED SEATS IN EVERY CLASS AND CAFETERIA (FOR CONTACT TRACING PURPOSES)
- STUDENTS WILL WIPE DOWN DESKS WITH PROVIDED WIPES TO SANITIZE BEFORE LEAVING TO GO TO THE NEXT CLASS
- STUDENTS WILL KEEP BOOK BAGS AND PERSONAL ITEMS WITH THEM (NO LOCKERS WILL BE USED)

Transportation information can be found on Skyward in the Parent Portal. Please be sure to check because times and stops may have changed.
START TIMES AND END TIMES
Students eating breakfast will go to the cafeteria immediately upon entering the building, eat breakfast and then go to their classroom. All other students will go straight to their first period class.
Class begins at 8:00.
Bus riders will be dismissed beginning at 2:30. Walkers and car riders dismissed at 2:40.

WHAT TO DO IF YOUR CHILD EXHIBITS SYMPOMS, TEST POSITIVE OR IS EXPOSED TO SOMEONE WHO TESTS POSITIVE
EXHIBITING SYMTPOMS
- Please keep your child home an call your medical provider if your child has a fever, and has any of the following symptoms: Headache, nausea, body aches, loss of taste and/or smell. Please call the school and speak with the school nurse to inform her.
- If you do get your child tested, please call the school and speak with Mrs. Denning, school nurse to report the results.
TESTS POSITIVE
- Please call the school and speak with Mrs. Denning, school nurse to inform her so she can contact trace.
- The school nurse will give you the information about when your child may return to school.
EXPOSED TO SOMEONE WHO TEST POSITVE
If your child is directly exposed to someone who tests positive please...
- Keep your child home.
- Contact the school and speak with Mrs. Denning, school nurse. to inform her .
- If at any point during the quarantine period, please have your child tested, and if they test positive alert Mrs. Denning so we can contact trace at school as well.
