Rock The Island is Back

Hear live music and support student art. Six bands will be competing. Tickets will be available for purchase at $5 at the ASB window starting 7th period today. Rock the Island will be at Kennelly Keys on Friday, January 24 at 7:00 PM.

AHS Junior Wins Skagit Democrats Essay Contest

Congratulations to Lauren McClintock, AHS junior, first-place winner of the Skagit Democrats Essay Contest. Lauren will read her essay and receive a check for $750 on January 25th at an awards ceremony at the Skagit Democrats office in Mount Vernon.

Student Parking Will Be Enforced in the Front and East Parking Lots

Students: Please park in Student Parking off of 17th Street and J Avenue. Front and Building parking are reserved for staff and visitors. Violators will be ticketed.

Summer Leadership and Character Development Academy at Quantico June 15-20

The Summer Leadership and Character Development Academy is a week-long immersive experience aboard Marine Corps Base Quantico. Throughout the week, the academy introduces students to the Marine Corps mission, core values, military culture, and leadership principles.


Application window is from 10/1/19-1/31/20.

Umbrellas Available

Attention Students - umbrellas are available for use going to and from middle school when it's raining. If you take an umbrella, please bring it back with you upon returning to the high school. Umbrellas are in bins located in the main entrance

After 3:30pm on School Days

A friendly reminder that no students should be in flex spaces and hallways after 3:30. If you have someone picking you up, please wait down stairs in the Commons.


Also, please no food or drinks in the flex spaces with the exception of water only

Key Club Meeting After School Every Thursday

Meetings take place in Ms. Bassart's room, 015. Join us!

Join Esports Club

Compete in online games for your school! Esports Club provides the opportunity for students to take games that they love like Overwatch, Hearthstone, League of Legends, and many more to the competitive level. Our school will play against other local schools like Sedro Wooley. Meetings and signups are held on Wednesdays in Mr. Wendling's room (E056).

Come to the main office and identify your lost item. We want to get it back to you!!

Attendance Matters


Attendance is absolutely critical to success in school. Let's work toward a goal of 100% attendance.

Parking Restrictions at the Middle School

Attention to all students. If you drive to school, please make sure you park in the High School student parking lot for the entire day. You will need to walk to any of your classes that are held at the middle school. No parking is allowed at the middle school for high school students.


Pictures of license plates will be taken and tickets will be issued for students who park their cars at the middle school.

Food To Go

Anacortes Food to Go - If you are hungry and need food over the weekends. You can get free food through Food to Go Anacortes.

This is a weekend backpack food program for Anacortes students. If you are in need, please contact Food to Go - (360) 708-3037 or ftgAnacortes@gmail.com

Food to Go also offers a summer program - sign up at www.foodtogoanacortes.com/delivery-signup and click student signups.

Visitor Check-In

It’s a new school year and everyone will have to check in. In order to better protect our students, visitors and staff, all visitors will be required to show a valid government-issued ID
