Principal Young's Caregiver Update
September 8, 2022
Message from Principal Young
It has been wonderful welcoming your scholars back. We saw many smiles, hugs, and high fives as your scholars reconnected with classmates and teachers. Spending time to build clear expectations and routines sets up a safe and productive learning environment that is necessary for ongoing academic and personal growth. Classroom teachers are engaging in carefully planned lessons to build connection, community, and clear expectations. Be sure to ask your scholars what they are learning about the Glen Hills Way, and how they are demonstrating Responsibility, Respect, and Inclusion at school. Encourage them to be active participants in making Glen Hills a community we are all proud to be a part of.
Here is to a great start!

Important Reminders For Caregivers
Schedule Changes
CLASS SCHEDULE CHANGE REQUESTS
Schedule changes will be made for errors such as a missing class, duplicate class, or incorrect placement. Scholars requesting to change their class schedule for any other reason must have parent consent, teacher consent, and administrative approval. Scholars must obtain a class schedule change request form from the office and follow their assigned schedule until a change is approved by administration. The following are not valid reasons for changing a class schedule:
Dislike for a teacher, disciplinary problems, desire to be with friends, change, or failing grades.
- Students or parents requesting a specific teacher.
