Parent/Teacher Conferences
On Monday, Nov. 22nd, we will offer conferences from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. via ZOOM. On Tuesday, Nov. 23rd, the conferences are offered from 7:30 a.m to 4 p.m. via ZOOM.
For elementary students, we recommend that every student has a parent/teacher conference. For Middle School and High School students, we recommend conferences for students that are struggling.
Why is it important to attend as many live zoom sessions as possible?
Live sessions are the best place to get support and understanding of the material!
In every Medford Online Academy course, students will meet bi-weekly to daily with their instructor and classmates in an online classroom that provides additional teaching, discussion, Q&A, or group activities. The class sessions are interactive and are conducted using zoom with video, audio, chat, and application-sharing capabilities. An online program, like ours, with live classes, can help students build stronger bonds with instructors and classmates, ask questions in real-time, and feel like part of a school community.
Scheduled, real-time sessions in the online classroom are not the only form of instruction available in a Medford Online Academy course, but are offered in addition to lectures or other instructional materials that students are able to access online at their convenience due to the flexibility of the program.
How did you do in Hex 1 and Hex 2? If you didn’t do as well as expected, our teachers are here to help you in live sessions. They make a difference!
If you are not attending your live sessions, you are missing out on the support our teachers can provide.
(You are not required to turn on your camera, but we want to see you engaging in the multiple ways we offer, chat, audio, etc.)
