SUPER BOWL OF MATH!!!
Please send your student dressed in football or cheerleader attire on Thursday, Feb. 4th.
We will celebrate the Super Bowl with some special math activities!
Reading and Language Arts
This week’s stories:
“The Missing Cake”
“Flake the Missing Hamster”
Phonics Skill : /oi/, /oy/, /wr/ and /ph/ sound spellings
This week we will continue to work on data and graphs (pictographs, bar graphs, and pie charts). We will continue addition and subtraction to 20. The students also will be solving word problems.
Did you know...?
Our students will be using research skills to find out about a topic of interest to them.
The students will be reading nonfiction literature and using websites to find out important information about their topic.
Students are collaborating with Mrs. Scott to create a replica of their topic.
Feb. 5th Friday Freeze
Feb. 9th- First Grade to Alabama Theater
Feb. 12th- End of 2nd grading period
Feb. 18th- Report cards go home
