Parents, our Lost and Found has grown quite cumbersome, so it's time for us to donate any unclaimed items. Please stop by and see if you can locate that stray glove or missing coat. We will be sending items off mid-February after Parent-Teacher Conferences.

We have BIG NEWS! Enrollment will be moving back into the schools over the next couple months, beginning with Kindergarten Enrollment for the 2015-2016 school year. Kindergarten Enrollment will open Tuesday, February 3rd.

Students wanting to enroll for Kindergarten must be age 5 by August 1st, 2015. After completing the online enrollment form, parents will need to bring the following documents to Schumacher:

-Child's immunization record

-Child's social security card

-Proof of residency (can be two utility bills- gas, water, or electric only OR a lease agreement OR a house contract). All proofs of residency must in the parent or guardian's name and be dated within the last 60 days.

Do you know a future Shark? Help us spread the word to all our incoming Kindergartners for the 2015-2016 school year! Kindergarten Round Up is a chance for all our future Kindergarten Sharks to visit Schumacher, meet the teachers, and learn about our school.

LPS elementary teachers Danny Todtfeld and Matthew Krohne are hosting Camp Invention this summer July 13th-17th. Camp Invention is a national one week summer program focused on creativity, innovation, problem solving, and invention. It’s a great opportunity for your students to experience science, technology, engineering, and math enrichment. Camp will be held at Liberty Oaks from 9:00am-3:30pm each day. Informational flyers will be coming home with students soon. In the meantime check out the Camp Invention website or contact Matthew Krohne directly with any questions.

The library is seeking a few volunteers to come in each week and help shelve books. No experience necessary! Even an hour a week makes a huge difference for our staff. Please contact Schumacher Librarian Megan Bright at mbright@liberty.k12.mo.us if you'd like to schedule a time to volunteer.

Break out the box tops again! The second semester competition has begun. Box Top sheets went home with students and you can always pick up more from the office. Fill them up and bring them back to school to help raise money for Schumacher. The class from each grade level that turns in the most wins a party sponsored by the PTA!

WHAT'S A SMORE? (other than a famously delicious campfire treat)
