Mask Requirement Update
The district will move to an optional mask protocol when both of the following have been in place for two consecutive weeks:
Less than 24 positive student cases districtwide
Less than 5 possible school spread cases districtwide
GJPS Board of Education Chooses Site Plan for New High School
After examining many design options, including a last-minute fourth proposal, an original design known as Option A has been chosen for the new Gahanna Lincoln High School, although the decision wasn’t unanimous.
The Gahanna-Jefferson school board voted 3-2 during a Feb. 8 special meeting to move forward with Option A and authorized the design development phase services for the new high school as part of phase 2 of the master facilities project.
New GLHS Floor Plan Walkthrough
During the February 8, 2022, Special Board of Education Meeting, Assistant Superintendent Jill Elliott gave a detailed description of the recently revealed floor plan for the new Lincoln High School.
The three-story plan includes a 31% increase in square footage compared to our current high school. With dedicated wings for performing arts, academics and physical education/athletics the floor plan also includes flexible extended learning areas and a few areas to grab a bite to eat.

National School Counseling Week

Join us as we recognize the tremendous impact our school counselors have in the lives of our GJPS students. We appreciate their hard work and dedication every day, but especially during National School Counseling Week!
GJPS Preschool Registration Now Open
Did You Know?
GJPS offers an outstanding preschool program that serves children with disabilities and provides an educational opportunity for typical developing children to serve as social and academic peer models.
Peers must be 3.5 years old by August 1st of the year of attendance.
Enrollment is open to children of district residents and staff members of GJPS through an application process. There are a limited number of peer model spots available each school year. Tuition is reasonably priced at $140/month. School is five days a week and the school year is nine months long.

Nationwide Children's Hospital is hosting another COVID-19 vaccine clinic for ages five and older at Clark Hall on Granville Street by Panera and Rusty Bucket.

Middle School Baseball Becomes an Official Sport
For Students in Seventh and Eighth Grade
This spring, we are excited to introduce middle school BASEBALL as an official school sport for all 7th and 8th grade students. Tryouts and practices will begin the week of February 22, 2022.
Per OSHAA rules, if you are currently playing for a club/travel team, you cannot play on a school team.

BinaxNOW At-Home Rapid Test Kits Available for Symptomatic Students and Staff
BinaxNOW At-Home COVID-19 Rapid Test Kits are currently available for students and staff currently enrolled in GJPS schools who are EXHIBITING SYMPTOMS of COVID-19.
REQUEST FORM MUST BE COMPLETED IN ADVANCE
While supplies last, you may request kits for:
The number of students you have enrolled in Gahanna-Jefferson Public Schools in your household who are exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19.
The number of GJPS staff in your household who are exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19.
A confirmation email will not be sent.
