DRC Rainforest Deforestation
Trees Are Falling
What Is Deforestation?
Deforestation is when forests are cut down for clear space for cultivation, grazing, settlement, or when wood is needed for infrastructure or firewood. The rainforest of The Democratic Republic of the Congo is one of the most threatened ecosystems in the world. Logging here has greatly increased. Some other countries are starting to lose the fight to save the trees.

These are the main causes for deforestation.
What's The Difference
The Amazon Rainforest has much more deforestation than the Congo Rainforest annually. It is less dangerous and has been excavated more than its partner in Africa. The biggest difference, is that the countries of the Amazon are winning the fight against deforestation. The DRC is not trying hard enough and they have not seen the full effect of it, like Brazil did.
How YOU Can Help
SDDRC
It stands for Stop Deforestation in the DRC. You can help by a donation of $10 or more so that we can replant the trees that were lost due to deforestation. We prefer that if you read this article, that you comment on your opinion on deforestation. This will help us show the DRC that deforestation is not right. This will also give homes to the animals that have lost their original homes. Please do not comment anything bad on this page.
