Transfer Connections
News for the Week of May 6, 2013
Visit the Transfer Student Blog
Fellow Transfer Students,
I continue to be amazed and gratified by the greetings and head nods we exchange as we traverse the campus. Of course, with the beautiful weather, I am often distracted by the beauty of the day, so forgive me if I didn’t return your hello.
I had the pleasure of interviewing several transfer students who applied to continue the tradition of service to new transfer students. Even though the program is evolving, I am sure that the spirit of building community will continue with the new crop of Transfer Success Leaders. I don’t envy the folks in the Commuter and Transfer Student Life office who have to make the hard selection decisions.
As we enter week six of this quarter it seems like things begin to move lots faster. There will be additional deadlines for other important events on top of the full load of class work, so work hard to manage your time well. Please also remember to attend the events around graduation and year-end celebrations by clubs and organizations – these events are part of the incredible richness that is SU!
Sincerely,
Jaime Yslas
Transfer SUccess Leader
