LHS School Counseling Newsletter

College Fair

This past Wednesday, the LHS School Counselors held their annual college fair for juniors. There were over 50 colleges represented and over 70 students in attendance with one or more guests. The School Counselors would like to send a big "Thank you!" and express our sincere gratitude to the PTA for providing delicious refreshments. We also want to recognize all the work that our Administrative Assistant, Nancy Benullo does behind the scenes. This event would not happen without her!

Course Selection Process

Just a reminder that course selections are due on Monday, March 21st.

Summer Internship Opportunity

See below for a summer internship opportunity.

Hello Students,

Come spend a week with us this summer and participate in the Open Table Summer Internship Program!

The Open Table Summer Internship Program provides the opportunity for young people to get involved with Open Table and gain first-hand experience in non-profit food relief through volunteering and giving back to their community. Students will work with staff to stock our Fresh Market Pantry, distribute thousands of pounds of food and create fresh meals for distribution from our surplus donations, while developing leadership, teamwork, workplace, and civic participation skills.

Open Table Summer Internship Program Sessions are 40 hours over 2-weeks starting June 20th. There is some flexibility in the hours and students are welcome to participate in more than one session.

● Session 1 - June 20 - July 1

● Session 2: July 11 - July 22

● Session 3: July 25 - August 5

● Session 4: August 8 - August 19

Where: Open Table Food Pantry: 33 Main Street, Maynard
