Dress Code Reminders
- Leggings should only be worn when your front and back end are covered (preferably to mid-thigh area). Your top should have a polished professional look.
- Athletic tights are never appropriate. If you look like you could change your top and put on tennis shoes and head to the gym after work, your leggings are really athletic tights.
- Hats are not allowed unless it's a designated hat day.
All of this is to help us all remember that we are role models for our students. I firmly believe that dress can play a big part in the professional vs. casual atmosphere that transfers to our classrooms. The overall look is what we need to remember. You might start your day by asking, "Would I be comfortable if Dr. Henry or Roy Garcia showed up in my classroom?" If the answer is no, then your dress is not appropriate. If you are ever unsure if you are dressed appropriately, and I mean that with all sincerity, please feel free to ask. I know there is some gray area, and I am trying to avoid having to implement a very strict dress code in the future. Comfort is important; however, we want to maintain the professional respect each and every one of us deserves.

This Year's IMPACT Speaker
Each year, IMPACT is represented by 10 area school districts including Cy-Fair. Again this year, the school in each district with the greatest number of pre-registered teachers and staff who attend IMPACT will receive $500. Who will be this year’s winner? To be considered for the $500 award, you must have your teachers and staff pre-registered (as noted below) by 11:59 PM on February 5, 2020. Your teachers and staff must both be pre-registered for and attend IMPACT in order for your campus to be considered for the monetary award.
The event is free for all Cy-Fair ISD employees. CFISD attendees will receive 4 off-contract professional development hours.
Please register via My Learning; the section number for registration is #32293.
